The incredible love from my family and friends, and my health.

The never ending possibilities to learn. Every day is a new adventure that can teach you something.
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Life is too short.
How do you define success?
Being able to “show up” every day and give your best self, regardless of circumstance. Every day is a learning opportunity; if you are able to learn at least one thing every day you have achieved success.
What is your proudest achievement?
Moving across the country and getting out of my comfort zone.
What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
Always trust your initial instinct. It is usually never wrong.
What was the best book you’ve read and why?
Stephen Covey’s, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. Although the concepts may be common sense, the book illustrates how each individual reader can incorporate these ideas in their everyday life in and outside of the workplace.

Cortnie Deakyne serves as a Client Service Associate with Cypress Wealth Services. In her role, Cortnie provides client service support and is responsible for a variety of service tasks including servicing accounts, processing account paperwork, and relationship management. Before Cypress Wealth Services, Cortnie was a Client Service Associate with The Cypress Group at Integrated Wealth Management from 2015-2017. Before Integrated Wealth Management, Cortnie worked for Aerotek Staffing for several years. Cortnie is originally from Annapolis, Maryland and graduated from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management. Cortnie enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, running, and being by the beach. Cortnie also enjoys trips exploring the West Coast and traveling back to Maryland to spend time with family and friends.
